Inspired by Gabriel VOISIN
page 1/2

One part of Gabriel Voisin's restructuring plans for the aeroplane factory on Boulevard Gambetta after the Great War was to manufacture the MotorFly motorised bibycle wheel, presaging the VéloSolex which become such a common sight in France decades later...

Another was to manufacture 'homes for heros', in the form of the prefabricated 'Maison a trois jours' (some of which still stand).

(based on a PMA's document)

Gabriel Voisin wrote with pride of the visit to Issy by Rolls Royce development engineers responsible for designing the V12 for the Phantom III.

The owner and coachbuilder of this Type 40 Bugatti were clearly enamoured of the angular Voisin house style.
